Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Snipe Collectibles (“we”, “us”) for using Snipe Collectibles (“Snipe”). By creating an account or using Snipe, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Snipe.

1. Who can use Snipe

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to use Snipe, and they are responsible for any trades or sales you arrange. Snipe is not for people who have been removed from it before.

2. Your account

Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. What Snipe is, and what it is not

Snipe is a place for hockey card collectors to show their collections, connect with each other, and arrange trades and sales between themselves.

  • We are not a party to any trade or sale between members.
  • We do not hold, ship, inspect, or insure cards.
  • We do not hold or move money. Members arrange payment themselves.
  • We do not guarantee that any card is authentic, in the condition described, or worth a particular price.

4. Trades and sales (the handshake)

Snipe lets two members record the terms of a deal and both agree to them. This record helps you keep track of what was agreed. It is not escrow, insurance, or a guarantee that the other person will follow through.

  • Once both members agree, each person who owes a card has 7 days to ship it and mark it shipped. If a required shipment is not marked in time, the deal expires and cannot be completed on Snipe.
  • When a member marks a card received, that card moves to their collection on Snipe. Please only mark a card received after you actually have it.
  • A missed shipping deadline appears on the profile of the member who did not ship.
  • Either member can use “Report a problem” on an agreed deal. We review reports privately and may act on them, but we cannot force a member to ship, pay, or refund.

5. Reviews and trust scores

Members can review each other after a completed deal. Profiles show deal counts, the number of different collectors someone has dealt with, review scores, and missed shipping deadlines. These are meant to help members decide who to deal with. They are not a guarantee. We may leave out or remove reviews and deals that look fake, repeated between the same accounts, or made to inflate a reputation.

6. AI features

Snipe can identify cards from photos and offer collection suggestions using artificial intelligence. These results can be wrong. Check card details yourself before relying on them. Suggestions about grading, holding, or selling are general information, not financial advice. Photos you submit for identification are processed by a third-party AI provider, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post, including photos, posts, comments, and messages. You give us permission to store, display, and process it so that Snipe can work, for example showing your collection to other members. Only post content you have the right to share, and do not post anything that is unlawful or harms others.

8. Rules

Do not:

  • sell or trade counterfeit, stolen, or misdescribed cards,
  • take a card or payment with no intention of completing the deal,
  • create fake accounts, fake deals, or fake reviews, or trade with yourself to raise a reputation,
  • harass, threaten, or deceive other members,
  • scrape, copy, or collect data from Snipe in bulk, or interfere with how it works,
  • try to get around deadlines, limits, or safeguards, or use Snipe for anything unlawful.

9. Enforcement

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. We may also change or stop any part of Snipe. You can stop using Snipe at any time and ask us to delete your account at snipecollectibleshq@gmail.com.

10. No warranties

Snipe is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise it will always work, be error-free, or be secure, and we do not promise any particular outcome from a deal.

11. Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses arising from deals between members, including lost, damaged, fake, or misdescribed cards, or unpaid or disputed payments. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim about Snipe is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (which may be zero) or $100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will give notice on Snipe. Continuing to use Snipe after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law and contact
